Women For Christ

Women are so important to the ministry of a local church.  Promised Land Baptist Church is truly blessed with an outstanding group of godly ladies who desire to serve the Lord.

Our Women For Christ group is intricately involved in our missions program, care ministries, and various outreaches.  This group meets in the church Fellowship Hall the first Tuesday of each month.  There is a time of food, fun, and fellowship and then there is a challenge each month from a special speaker.

Our ladies also take a yearly retreat and host a Ladies Conference.

Iron Men Ministry

There is a sobering question posed in Proverbs 20:6, “Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?”  There is a famine in America of faithful men.  Our Iron Men Ministry is designed to help build men into godly, faithful men.

The Iron Men Ministry meets monthly.  The first Saturday night of each month the men get together and have a prayer meeting at the church.  Each quarter there is also a prayer breakfast.

This ministry spearheads much of the maintenance work that is done around the church and also sponsors an annual Men’s Retreat.

Golden Stars Ministry

Our Senior Saints ministry is vital to our church.  They head up a monthly rest home ministry.  They minister monthly at the Total Living Center in Stanley and Woodlawn Haven in Mt. Holly.  They also are intricately involved in our shut-in visitation.

They have a meeting on the second Tuesday of each month.  They typically have a meal, special music, and a special speaker.  They also discuss upcoming activities and ministry opportunities.

Our church realizes the importance of prayer.  All of our adult ministries focus on prayer.  We also have prayer rooms before the Sunday evening service and special prayer time on Wednesday nights following the Bible study.
